Features Nottingham

112 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG1 3HL, UK – 0115 950 1977

I had composite bonding done here and it was the best experience. The staff are very friendly, and informative. As for the dentist himself he was extremely professional, without a doubt he takes pride in his job. There is no where else I would recommend in Nottingham.

I had root canal done with them! They did an excellent job!! Really nice and friendly! They were amazing whenever I had an emergency! I would definitely recommended them!

The Ropewalk Dental & Implant Suite

48 The Ropewalk, Nottingham NG1 5DW, UK – 0115 950 8260

Excellent experience, professional staff, calming music in the background, recommended,

I was referred to this practice by my regular dentist for a difficult extraction. I must say the care, patience and professionalism were of the highest standard.

Harrison Dental

41 - 45 St Mary's Gate, Nottingham NG1 1PU, UK – 0115 948 3238

Errol and Dawn are 1st class by far and really do offer a personal service. I have known them years from another practise as mentioned below then he has gone it alone and well done too. They explain everything in great detail and for a nervous patient like my self they really put me at ease as know exactly what treatment I will receive before commences. I cannot praise Errol and Dawn enough and would recommend them to anyone 100%.

Great dentist, great results! 😊the whole team is very friendly and I've already recommended my sister and her partner and they both love this place too!

High Green Medical Practice

Mary Potter Centre, Gregory Blvd, Nottingham NG7 5HY, UK – 0115 942 3216

Correction added after further visits. Once a great Doctor's Surgery. Been there for years and years. I was upset to see negative comments on here. However, now I understand, processes over people. Made me feel awful. Once you always got the feeling they cared. I think my problem was is that I work. Probably fine if you do not work. If you work, may be worth considering a different Surgery. Further correction: Must admit that the Doctors remain as fantastic as they have always been. Whatever admin problems there may be or system and processes that impact you. The Doctors remain 1st Class. It makes me proud to be English.

How can you only book between 8 and 9 for an appointment but they never pick up. I've been trying to reach them for a few weeks to get an appointment. I was later explained that I can book online. Email staff was really helpful.

Brilliant, fast , no nonsense investigation and treatment. Helpful and reassuring nurses as ever .

Lovely building. Clean facilities and most importantly expert treatment. Consistent communication about appointments. Do yourself a favour and get dropped off or use public transport to get there. Like anywhere these days, parking is a nightmare to find and costly.

Queen's Medical Centre

Derby Rd, Nottingham NG7 2UH, UK – 0115 924 9924

Went here when I fractured my ankle and so tore a ligament. It was clean and tidy in the waiting room, and I was seen for the Triage after about 20 minutes and then was having an X ray after about another hour. The whole time there was under 2 1/2 house and I felt happy with the care and attention given. Hopefully I won't need to come back here again, but I felt comfortable with my time here.

I visited the Ophthalmology Department at Nottingham Queens Medical Centre on 17 April 2018. At the Glaucoma clinic I received an excellent consultation with Mt Richard Stead. He reviewed my problem very efficiently and gave me a full printed result after the consultation Excellent NHS service.

Received a Skin Tech facial from Kiran and it was amazing! It was recommended from a friend and I never expected it to help my acne as much as it did! The specialist was so lovely and gentle with the treatment, and the reception staff were amazing too. Even got a free coffee while I waited for my appointment. Thank you for the amazing experience. Definitely recommending to everybody!! :) x

Such a great experience. “This was one of the most efficient doctors appointments I’ve ever had. Very friendly staff and compassionate doctor (Dr Rehman). Took all the time to go over my questions. I left the clinic feeling much better. I was seen quickly & the doctor was very helpful Thank you!

Regent Street Clinic

2 Regent St, Nottingham NG1 5BQ, UK – 0115 947 5498

My close circle of friends have been coming to Regent Street Clinic for the past 12 years and absolutely rave about the quality of the service and the honest, warm nature of the staff who go out of their way to make people feel welcome and valued. The aesthetics staff are never pushy, in fact we have found them to be quite the opposite, refusing treatments if they have felt concerned that it may not be in our interest. If we have needed to go in for a top up, the team of doctors and nurses have been very pleasant and eager to ensure that we are happy with the results. The clinic in Nottingham In particular is always so busy, but they will still squeeze appointments in to offer a fabulous same day service. Unfortunately some people will complain about anything, but from 12 years of experience, I fully recommend Regent Street and all of the staff there, we have tried other clinics when they have had offers on, but we always end up here.

Friendly staff, lovely doctors and a great service every time myself or my family have attended this clinic in Nottingham. We can rely on the clinic seeing us on the day and have been particularly impressed with Kirsty the manager in Nottingham, she’s very pleasant and keen to make sure that the clients are comfortable and happy. I trust the team explicitly and our family is very grateful to Dr Bobby and his professionalism over the years. I would recommend without any hesitation, the ambience is very relaxed and they make you feel relaxed which is not the case for all medical clinics.

Luxe Private Clinic

Foxhall Lodge, Foxhall Rd, Nottingham NG7 6LH, UK – 0115 857 2977

Words and pictures can’t describe what an amazing procedure this is! If you’ve been considering getting Scalp Micropigmentation done don’t wait for years like I did! The practitioner that did the scalp treatment was very professional and made the whole procedure an amazing experience. I was really impressed with how my hair tattoo turned out. My hair now looks fantastic and it is completely undetectable. The pain level was definitely tolerable. if you’ve been thinking about having a this done DO IT! Trust me it’s worth it!

I had fat freezing on my flanks at this clinic and got excellent results. A very classy clinic, I would definitely recommend.

Travel Clinics

Regent Street Clinic™

2 Regent St, Nottingham NG1 5BQ, UK – 0115 947 5498

Impressed by the service, the triage nurse at.Regent Street Clinic was able to get us an appointment for our daughter with a specialist the same afternoon. The nurse was lovely, she put our mind at rest and we will use this service again.

Had the hayfever injection. And could not believe the effect it had it worked almost instant. And for the last 5 weeks I have never felt so good. It had just started to wear off and I went down and had a top up jab and can almost feel that taking immediate effect also couldn't be more happy. Great service!

2 Regent St, Nottingham NG1 5BQ, UK – 0115 947 5498

I'm a teacher at a local school in Nottingham and we have been blessed to have Dr Bobby and his nursing staff visit the sixth form every Easter time to give our World Challenge pupils and their parents the advice on vaccinations they will need to consider for their trips. The clinic has offered to vaccinate the children and staff FOR FREE due to the nature of the trip and we are very grateful as a school for the generosity shown. Some of these pupils would not have been vaccinated so a huge thank you to Traveldoc, they have also sponsored some of the individual children and taken part in fundraising activities so we would naturally give this clinic our greatest recommendation.

Very handy to be seen on the same day as calling up, needed last minute vaccines and found the advice sensible and not over the top. Was happy to pay for the vaccines that were needed, at the end of the day it’s better safe than sorry. The clinic was in a beautiful building and the staff were very friendly and helpful so 10/10!

Canning Pharmacy

2 Beastmarket Hill, Nottingham NG1 6FB, UK – 0115 941 8402

The staff is nice and the location is very convenient. A bit expensive, there's a steep mark-up on things you can buy over the counter. I have received some weird advice here though. Once they gave me stock for 6 months as prescribed by my GP but the pharmacist told me to throw out anything left after 3 months. Luckily it wasn't my first time taking that so I knew how to store it and that I should ignore the pharmacist.

Once I visited, more I wish I could

Thank you to all at Acacia for taking exceptional care of my mum right to the end & they were so brilliant to all of our family & couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. So much so that I'm intending to volunteer there myself. The staff are so friendly & welcoming & cared for us as well as mum beyond the norm. My Aunt's (who flew over from Ireland) were so very impressed at the level of care & agree that we've never seen such dedication in any other care home in all their lives. Many many thank's to all the staff & Manager Noor you are all angels. Caroline Gordon (Maureen's daughter) Thank you to all at Acacia especially to Sheila who attended my mum's funeral yesterday & also brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers too. You will always have a special place in my heart, not only for the care & dignity you all gave to Mum but also for your care & support of the whole family. I can't praise you all enough & have recommended you to many. I'm also booking myself in when my time comes. Love & respect to all of you. Caroline Gordon.

2 Lambourne Dr, Nottingham NG8 1GR, UK – 0115 928 3030

My wife Ann here on extended respite, great people great place seem very caring, been real important for Ann and me

Melbourne House

Grannis Dr, Aspley, Nottingham NG8 5RU, UK – 0115 979 1234

My Sister in Law was admitted to hospital with lung cancer which was diagnosed as being terminal. As it was too far advanced to be treatable they requested that she should be transferred to a care home. I chose Melbourne House for the following reasons. The CQC assessment was good on all counts, the two managers seemed organised and caring, there seemed plenty of cheerful staff, the building had all en-suite and good communal areas, the adjacent health centre gives access to GP's, the location is good for buses and parking is adequate. My Sister in Law needed total care which she received in a caring manner. All the family would loke to thank the staff and would highly recommend Melbourne House

My relative was placed at Melbourne House late 2014 after a short spell in hospital. The manager at the beginning left very suddenly (don't know by her choice or not but nobody seemed aware she was leaving). A temporary manager followed with a new manager was in place approx a month later. We were not happy with the care and had to complain often about really quite fundamental things such as not having a water jug or glass practically each visit. Often no towel in the room and wrong laundry even though all items had name tags. Care was of a low standard with carers not wearing name tags so dementia residents had no idea who they were talking to. Residents often left to their own devices with very little stimulation or encouragement. On one occasion a man who was unable to walk without assistance was left in a chair on his own whilst the carer went into another room and looked at her mobile phone. He tried to get up from the chair and fell and was berated for moving. I could name several incidents which took place on a personal level but it is some time ago now and it's no good raking it all up. Suffice it to say I would not put anyone in this home.

The Firs Nursing Home

Small car park, friendly staff, reasonably modern facilities.

Park View Nursing Home

13 Gedling Grove, Nottingham NG7 4DU, UK – 0115 979 0776

I would recommend Park View to anyone. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Their first priority is the resident and they do their utmost to help the residents where necessary and also empower the residents to become more self-sufficient through time and care. You honestly won't find a better residence for your loved ones.

Tiger Boe Centre

7 Clarendon St, Nottingham NG1 5HS, UK – 0115 837 8080

A great community health centre in the heart of Nottingham. All sorts of therapies available. Run by Director Kat Chu, qualified Doctor of Chinese Medicine - acupuncturist and cancer specialist.

I have struggled with my lower back for years. It was causing me pain every few weeks. I was recommended Kat at Tiger Boe by a friend. I booked a half an hour session. It was gentle and subtle bone work. It felt much better when I left and after one week my back is not causing me any discomfort at all. I have spent hundreds on physio over the years which has just been a short fix. I think my hips have been realigned now and I will go back for a full session on my whole spine in January. Five stars

I cannot recommend this place enough! I have used the chiropractor several times and it’s really helped! The staff are friendly professional and they are always on hand to assist with any questions. The prices are reasonable and the clinic is welcoming.

I’ve been having regular chiropractic treatment here for a little while with Katie, who has recently left and now with Nathan. Whenever I come to the clinic, I find it to be a warm and welcoming place and have always been very impressed with the professionalism of the whole team. My treatment has been very successful but as a yoga teacher, my physical mobility is very important so I continue to visit for occasional ‘maintenance’. Thanks to all the team 🙏🏼

Calm, relaxed and effective. Overall a very positive and effective treatment for an old and painful back injury. I have used McTimoney practitioners to control my back pain for a number of years with varying degrees of success, Johns practice offers a very professional and relaxed atmosphere and combines subtle manipulation of the skeletal structure with positive energy and massage. Its the first time I've booked a follow up visit to the chiropractors that I'm actually looking forward to.

Mercury House, Shipstones Business Centre,, New Basford, Nottingham NG7 7FN, UK – 0845 450 7316

I would like to extend my thanks to Caroline and David at WorkFuture for their professional and prompt assistance on a matter relating to the health and safety of our employees. Occupational Health can - and did - initially appear to be just another expense, arising from the ever-expanding mass of red tape that small businesses now have to work through. However, we were very pleasantly surprised by WorkFuture. We were impressed by their approachability and affordability, and especially their ability to understand very quickly our business needs. I would not hesitate to recommend WorkFuture to any other small business venturing into OH for the first time.

Unit E 97, Victoria Shopping Centre, Nottingham NG1 3QE, UK – 0115 941 4200

Giving five star because of the way staffs behaved. I went to fix new lense as per prescription for the frame which I use. They fixed it and gave to me after an hour and it was broken. One guy told I'll have to buy a new frame. But when I told then to give me refund, they let me select a new frame and without paying anything extra they fixed lense of same power and gave me. That was really unexpected and will suggest you guys to whomever I know. Thank you.

Just visited Vic Centre Vision Express. Long day at work, at almost five o'clock when I visited. The store was busy so asked where I should wait. Only had to wait two minutes before a helpful lady asked how she could help. I've only worn glasses for four days (Im late thirties and new to the glasses brigade!) I was concerned that one of the arms on my glasses was too lose. The lady assured me it was normal and there had to be a little play, but noticed that the nose pads had caused indentations. My glasses were whisked away to the back of the shop where a chap reappeared a minute later polishing my glasses having replaced the nose pads. Very friendly and jovial despite the time of the day, and again explained the play in the arms was normal, and replacing my glasses I went on my merry way. No one asked me if I was a vision express customer (I am!) or for any contact details. Both members of staff were friendly and genuinely wanted to help. Great service!

Specsavers Opticians Nottingham - Wheelergate

20-24 Wheeler Gate, Nottingham NG1 2ND, UK – 0115 958 8361

Excellent knowledgeable staff, very friendly and makes you feel you are really taken care of. Very busy, and can take a while to have all the tests etc but I guess that's because they are very thorough. They also do free hearing tests which are a bonus. One of my son's has a slightly detached retina and they made all necessary appointments with a specialist with no fuss or bother. Excellent place and I would highly recommend

All staff helpful and courteous. Optician explained everything he was doing and why. Thanks and Thumbs up from my wife and I.

Boots Opticians

171-177 Castle Blvd, Nottingham NG7 1GY, UK – 0115 950 6665

Bought spectacles for over £400 having being convinced to buy expensive thin lenses. One lense chipped within a month. This has never happened to me in 30 years of wearing glasses. Wanted to charge me £192 to replace the lens. No concession offered. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask. I talked to the manager, Elaine, today and she has very kindly agreed have the lenses replaced for free, considering that I have only had them a few weeks.

Very impressed with my visit to Boots opticians today. Staff (Tracey especially) were very imformative and friendly and was everything you hope for when it comes to customer service. Left feeling happy and not stressed which I find sometimes comes with sorting out glasses!

Lace Market Clinic

7 Russell Place, Nottingham NG1 5HJ, UK – 0115 870 5083

I've been visiting Lace Market Clinic for over 3 years now and extremely please with the service and treatment I receive. Adam is friendly, polite and professional. He listens and takes time to understand the issues you as a patient are experiencing and will tailor each treatment session around that. When he needs to explain about possible causes, additional at home treatment or exercises he does so in a way that you understand. He has recently moved his clinic to a new location and this has been a vast improvement on his old clinic. It's clean, fresh and above all quiet and relaxing. Adam engages in conversation with me from time to time which helps take my mind off of particularly heavy sessions but balances this well and understands when I may not want to talk. Adam is always reassuring and checks throughout treatment if I am feeling O.K. and not in any additional pain or discomfort. I can't recommend Adam enough if you are in need of an Osteopath or a Sports Masseur

I recently visited Adam after suffering from an episode of lower back pain that had kept me off work. Adam was very professional in his approach and I found his insights and advice very useful. The first series of treatments and exercises helped to relieve the pain and as I got more mobile further exercises were prescribed to help strengthen and improve my condition to the point where the pain has now gone completely. I would certainly recommend Adam to anyone in need of treatment.

Cinderhill Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Centre

Cinderhill Gym, Nuthall Road, Nottingham, Cinderhill NG8 6AD, UK – 0115 978 4836

Visited Mark with a sport related injury. Very thorough and professional. Highly recommend.

After a number of years being unable to practice any sports as the result of having spondylolisthesis and associated neurological symptoms, I was recommended to visit Mark. After a thorough evaluation and a course of physiotherapy sessions plus advice on home exercises, my symptoms have at last ceased. To the extent that I have managed bike rides and swimming with no recurrence. Something other physios and consultants had failed to manage. I'm very happy to recommend Mark as a good and knowledgeable physiotherapist. His great approach and explanations really helped me to understand my condition and come to terms with a very stressful situation.

Psychiatrists serving NG7

The Priory Hospital Nottingham

Ransom Rd, Nottingham NG3 5GS, UK – 0115 969 3388

The Nottingham Priory is unlike most other Priories in that it deals only with drugs and alcohol problems which is in my view a real advantage. Most other priory hospitals treat psychiatric conditions too. The 12-Step programme is not religious, or at least it is not meant to be. Unfortunately it gets taken over by overly zealous people and it can appear sinister. The facts are though that it is one of the most successful methodologies available. The only way to research what would suit you, other than visiting loads of clinics is to use a professional online referral agency such as Admit Services or WayAhead Rehab. Neither charges for their independent advice. Never pay a referral agency; you pay the clinic. But finding an ideal clinic is likely to be impossible. The Nottingham Priory suits a lot of people and there is little choice in Nottingham.

I entered the priory Nottingham for two weeks 1 detox and 1 "therapy" due to excess alcohol use after years of over the top consumption which was beginning to effect my business and family , whilst my stay was made comfortable by all concerned ie staff, nurses and patients I found the therapy side of my stay very sinister, I will explain later. week 1 involved detox which was spot on, the nurses were excellent and the medication prescribed in a very professional and monitored manner which made what is a very difficult process easier, if you've ever detoxed before you will know what I mean. week 2 involved "therapy", it is this side of things I didn't really agree with, firstly it involves a process called the 12 step program, I suggest you research this to see what it entails as it is extensively used but never really publicised, I had never heard of it before. personally I found it very religious and cultlike with a lot of personal things said in meetings which I found uncomfortable and if you aren't a religious person like myself it might be a bit hard to swallow. From a personal point of view I found the priory ok, but like I said do your research and ask questions. summery staff, nurses 10/10 premises 10/10 food 10/10 detox10/10 care 10/10 "therapy" -/1 theres not enough noughts, far too much emphasis on spirituality(religion) and the "Big Book" and 12 step nonsense hope this helps

A lovely centre, the staff are friendly and welcoming and there are a range of treatments for many conditions. On site parking is always available. Nigel, Sue and Mick are so easy to talk to, a definite place to go for alternative treatment!

I have been in pain for about 5 years with my lower back and hip, and came here to see Doug who does sports massage, and he did me just 1 session about a month ago, i cannot believe that i am still pain free. Thank you so much i can highly recommend Doug, and this is a really nice Centre too with free parking.
